Community Council Meeting Minutes - 11/9/20

  • The meeting was started by approving last meetings minutes.  Melissa Nichols voted to approved the meeting minutes, and Mike Booth 2nd the motion.
  • Trust lands Overview- We have $17,000 remaining as of 11/9/20, which is on track from last year.
  • We will not have teachers attending the PLC Conference this year because of Covid-19 Pandemic.
  • Dave Wallace proposed the we use the $ that we would have spent on the PLC Conference to replace smartboards in classrooms and upgrade technology.  Michelle Carver voted to approve the change and Shellie Shupe 2nd the motion.  There were no objections from the committee.
  • Our school Math & Reading Goals were discussed.  Mr. Wallace stressed how important it is to focus on At Home Reading, as well as focusing on our ELT’s in class.
  • Covid-19 Update- we are already doing what the Governor has Mandated.
  • Our next Community Council meeting is on January 11, 2020 at 3:30.
